Rats! As soon as I pressed "send", he started wailing for mommy.

sounds like the kids need to nap after preschool. why can you just let them nap in the car for 1/2 to 1hr in the car?.
also, this is not for everyone but what about cosleeping? i just sleep with the kids for 1/2 hr and then wake up to do other things. this way, there's minimal fighting during bed time.

Amazingly, they were both asleep before 8pm tonight. DrK was a little upset that he didn't see them today.

Yay!!! Sorry for DrK, dh could go for days without seeing the younger kiddos and can go for five days without seeing the baby when he's on his call week. It stinks but changing bedtime to see daddy isn't an option.

I hope bedtime keeps going well

Agree with Pollyanna. I know there are other medspouses that go the other way on that.

Awesome!! I agree about not waiting on bedtime If you had some of those magical kids who sleep in when they stay up late, maybe, but not when it will create a sleep deprivation cycle. We have to guess every day if DS needs a nap. He needs one about every 2-3 days to stay on track. Too many and he's up untill 11:00; too few and he's a fussy, whiny grump.
