Obviously there is no sheet at the moment, and the walls are bare still. I'm right on top of things!

Super Cute!!! Looks great, can't wait to see the whole room done! Btw, did your MIL use a pattern? I'm making my sisters crib set, and a pattern, especially for the bumper would be nice. I've done it w/out a pattern and it's a pain in the rear!

She did use a pattern, but claimed it was wrong, so her sewing buddy (the one American friend she has) helped her figure out what to do.

Julie - you could totally make these and sell them on etsy. People charge $400 (or more) for the kind of set MIL made for me. I have no doubt that the skirt is a PITA, but a bumper can't really be all THAT hard, right? It was probably $50 to $75 worth of fabric ... (the minky chenile was pricey).

Skirts really aren't all that hard to do, in my opinion, but my pattern was easy! I think box pleats are easier to do than ruffled ones. If I liked sewing at all, I would sell crib bedding on etsy and boutique-style pageant gowns on ebay, but alas, I don't.

All of your nurseries are so cute. I am going to have so much fun with grandbabies. Hopefully my children and future DIL will indulge me.

Jenn, well first off I made it 7 years ago, so my sewing experiance was not near what it is now. But, that said, what sucked was matching the ties properly to the crib. I sewed them inside the bumper so you had to get it right or you were ripping it all open to move them. I... um... had to rip it a lot, not sure what the deal was  But I thought hey a pattern could to the thinking for me (insert lazy button here ) I'm making her the crib set and a diaper bag all before jan (God help me!) soooo I want to cut any waisted time that I can!
