Amen to the convenience!!! I hate lugging home drinks. I've been eyeballing this thing for a while. I read a review a few years ago, and the woman who wrote it used it to make fruit flavored carbonated water for her kids. I have no illusions that the diet cola will taste good, but I'm curious to see how the fruit waters would work.

BTW, they sell these @ bed, bath & beyond. AFAIK, you can use the 20% coupons toward it.

I have had a hankering for one of these! I drink 8+ cans of La Croix a day because it is the best thing ever invented. And it gets REALLY old carrying them home, not to mention pretty expensive. I think the 20% off coupon is a great idea. I.WANT.ONE

Hold the presses! They just replaced their first cartridge! (since Christmas Day!) I thought they'd replaced cartridges but they'd only bought more flavors - they love the tonic water. So that's a little over three months - mom said the cartridges say 60 one liter fills.

I would be leaping for joy if I saw 2 liters on sale for $0.69 cents here. If they are one sale for $1.25 here I am feeling pretty excited. Both my mother-in-law and sister-in-law have the soda makers that look like the penguin (is that a soda stream?) and they love the convenience.

That's the top of the line Soda Stream- the one w/ the glass bottles. I never see soda that inexpensive (although I'm not looking for it, either) but even at the commissary it's not that cheap.

I almost bought one of these for Sam for Christmas. He wants one to make his own soda. I told him maybe once he has a "real" job. 8 )

We saw one or something similar in Williams-Sonoma a couple of months ago. DH was seriously considering it.
Now, I think we should purchase one.

I'm on the WS mailing list, and first saw it there. I'm strongly considering one. They just emailed me about the Soda Stream Fizz, which apparently allows you to adjust the carbonation level.

I just came across this, and I thought I'd share since a few of you seemed really interested in getting one. It's on sale at www.kohls.com for $79.99, but there's also a 30% off coupon (SHOPNSAVE30) and a coupon for free shipping (FREE4MVC). That brings it down to $59.35 for me, but your final price may vary depending on sales tax. The one downside is that you need a Kohl's charge card for the codes to work.

I have the penguin, and I love it. We can adjust the carbonation as well, by pumping it more or fewer times. It is fantastic.

If there are any other unfortunate souls out there (like me) who don't have a Soda Stream and want one. They are on sale at Macy's! The $100 one is 80 and the $140 is 99!

So i bought one of these yesterday and it is the. best. thing. ever. It came with samples of all different flavors of actual soda. And my skeptical husband tried the Mountain Dewish one and was very impressed. The bubbles are so fresh and..ummm bubbley.
