Pillows seem to help. I think I need a rug with brown and black in it to show contrast. These pictures aren't great.

I really like the pillow with the circles and do think it helps. what about a lighter end table?

I was going to suggest a rug. Home Goods is a good place.

Also, it's a bit darker in the room now- less natural light, and that is helping.

I agree with everyone else - you need to take that pillow and go with that to decorate the room up. I would also change the paint color to something a bit warmer. The couch seems to pop and look black with the wall color, but if you change that it may immediately make them look brown! Of course, changing paint colors is easier said than done :-/ Sorry!!

A warm area rug might do wonders too. (Although your tile is beautiful).

ETA: I just scrolled down, you have already mentioned this, so I am just agreeing here.

I was also going to say that once you have the blinds in, the color might change. And I also like the circles pillow and second Home Goods for rugs. In your climate and with no pets or babies, look into a silk rug. It's thinner and not as plush but you wouldn't anything too "warm" in FL.

I'll 2nd the painting suggestion. The yellow against the dark leather will only serve to sharpen the contrast. If you picked up one of the blues in that 2nd pillow, it would cool everything down and draw out the brown tone (I can see some brown in the 2nd picture).

I'm not painting. The room is too open, and it's not going to happen. Thanks for the suggestion though. Blinds will be going up very soon.

                        Ummm....

                        well...

whatever the color, I like the sofa.

And I like the pillow with the little circles.

                        And your tile.

Can I move into your house?

So, the pillows. I really like them, but they were the only ones of their kind at Home Goods. The other one looks better in person. It doesn't matter though because I need one more of either or each. Gah!!

Off to try to find a rug.

Blinds alone will be an enormous game changer. It's the lighting that is causing the colorshift, but a rug will also help to break up the stark contrast between your gorgeous, light-colored floors and the much darker furniture. Maybe try to incorporate some of the blues from he pillows in the rug?

We went with a turquoise, light brown and dark brown rug on our hardwoods to compliment our dark leather furniture. I worked well for us, but our lighting is far different.

BTW, your home is amazing, Heidi. That cannot be stressed enough.

Thank you so much. I bought three rugs. Yes, three. We'll see which one works best.

If anyone is in a Home Goods and happens to see those pillows, I will happily send you the money plus shipping.

World Market also has a nice selection of pillows.
