I went there, and they had almost nothing. I was really surprised. Maybe it's the one by me.

Hmmm ... I don't love it. I think you really need something that goes under the whole couch /ottoman area? Also, the contrast of the color of the ottoman isn't helping the sofa look any lighter. I'd suggest the FLOR tiles. You can get a bunch if samples, and its really the most cost effective way to get a rug that big (as well as an awkward size.

That's WAY better, but I agree that the space needs a bigger rug. And maybe with other colors. I like brown, too, but maybe a rug with other colors would help. Maybe something along these lines:

I tried it with a bigger rug, and I hated it. It didn't work with the tables. I also tried it with two different rugs that had blue in them, and it looked awful. Too busy. I tried 4 rugs ya'll. I think I'm keeping it like this.

              I'm sad ya'll don't like it.

I still think it's a huge improvement, regardless of sizing. The break-up of the flooring color helps a ton. I say do whatever works in your room and for your preferences. Rugs are one of those things that look so different in the store versus on your own floor. Selecting a rug for our house damn near drove me bonkers.

ETA: I really, really love the circle pillows. Maybe pull in that blue with accessories or solid pillows to match?

Heidi, we have a HUGE rug in our family room. Everything is on top of it and it really deliniates the space nicely. It's about 15' X 18'. In the end, it's your house, if you love it then that is what you should stick with. Enjoy

I think ours is about the same size and we have things situated so almost all of our furniture is on it partly. It works in our space.

I think the ottoman brings out the brown a bit more.
We bought a purple microsuede couch and it looks brown. We have blue/gray walls and the room is really dark.

Thanks everyone. I think I'm going to leave as is for now except for hunting down pillows. The ottoman is custom and staying as well. It's all growing on me.

I do like it, actually. I like it a lot to be honest - especially the ottoman. Everyone has different taste. I also just saw a great tip on the Nate Burkus show - you can have pillows made at a dry cleaners, starting around $12 each. Who knew? So you could find fabric, a sheet, etc and have it made into a pillow, if that gives you more selection. Whenever we move or update, I kind of have to live with a change and let it grow on me.

I like it a lot! I think the rug and the ottoman tie in the brown. Add some pillows and you're set!
