Wow - I just have to say I am so impressed. I am such a dawkter's wife that I wimped out and hired someone to deal with the wallpapered kitchen and bathrooms after just trying to do this in the guest bathroom. Ides, I think you rock! Failure is working on a wall all day long and not getting the damn paper off, crying out of frustration and then having to pay someone to finish your f-up.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

I'm pretty much done removing the wallpaper. The wall looks worse than I hoped but it will be skim coated so I'm not worrying too much. The pink painted paper was definitely oil paint. That crap was brittle as hell. I had quite a bit of luck chiseling it off with a paint scrapper. There are a few more spots to chisel and a wall dude is coming over tomorrow to see about skim coating.
Wife to Hand Surgeon just out of training, mom to two lovely kittys and little boy, O, born in Sept 08.
