Fwiw the other alternative is to be like me, paint 6-7 swatches on your wall, leave them there for months, and then finally paint one

Ha! 4 years into this house and I still have apartment beige on my walls. I hate it! But choosing a wall color is so... decisive, and permanent!

        Choosing trim color

I do like just about every color I've picked! But I'm itching to paint again. I'm meh on the color In Our master bath--too dark. And I wish I had found a greige instead of true beige for the main living areas, but I've literally painted 2000 sq feet solo in the past 3 years and that is really enough.

I have to laugh because so many of you are like my husband. I got so tired of endless swatches of shades of brown or blue. I DONT CARE!!! I WILL BE HAPPY WITH ANY SHADE. DONT ASK ME AGAIN... ( That is what I screamed in my head. On the outside, I just smiled and listened to him talk about the endless shades and which one would look best.)

I just don't see it and unless it is some hideous color ( We moved into a house that had red carpet and red and turquois corduroy drapes.... That had to go.)

Sorry, thread hijack. Good luck with all of the trim colors. I'm sure it will look awesome when you are done!

Yep! And it's not like time or money to do the painting grows on trees, either. This is the first paint we're doing and we've owned the place for 7 years as of next week. I am so, so grateful that hubby has this painter friend and is willing to pay him to do it! Having him waiting on my decision made it go a lot faster. And my choices might be blah neutrals but they are MY CHOICES and I am all fluttery to feel more and more at home in my house.
