LOVE them! Restoration Hardware has a nearly identical line of chandeliers that I've been drooling over. Seeing their twins in your house has me even more tempted. Gorgeous!

Ah! These, right? https://www.restorationhardware.com/...yId=cat5700032 I hadn't seen those before. Looks like the crystals are smaller. Their 24" one has one row of rectangular crystals and mine has two. I assure you that I didn't pay anywhere near that price! Saved money on the lamps to pay the electrician.

Actually, right now, I'm kicking myself for not taking a chandelier my mom offered me. It would have been perfect in the room adjacent to the foyer.

Lovely! Upgrades like that are so worth it. I smile every time I see one I did in our house

Funny how these projects just inspire me to do more. Now I'm moving pictures around.

The lights look great! I'm doing less glamour work. Repairing plaster walls before painting. Wheeee!

Quick and cheap cosmetic update advice:
The cabinets are a honey wood color, and we would be upgrading all the old appliances in the kitchen. Stainless? White? Other?
It remains to be seen if we can swing replacing the countertops upon purchase (we placed an offer).
I am thinking of removing the cabinet doors and power sanding everything to either stain a darker color, or paint them. Thoughts?

Also: light fixture in dining room is dated (as are bathroom light fixtures). Resale? Rehab?

I think you might be able to darken the cabinets without sanding. My kitchen has dark wood with a mix of stainless and black appliances. Also black countertops. I went with a black fridge because I preferred a magnetic surface with small kids. I wanted to put their drawings on the fridge and the like.

Promise this is the last one. I didn't expect the lights to reflect off the window. It looks like 6 fixtures. So cool.

Also, Thirteen you can easily spray paint old fixtures.
