@JustRightKelly - do you have a shop where you sell the elephants? I know someone who might love one.

I'm making simple t-shirts for E and her buddy to wear with jeans and tutus to the St. Patrick's Day parade this weekend:

I realized the fabric is upside down, but I've got a bunch extras and I haven't ironed it on yet. I'm trying to decide how to line it, since I don't have a sewing machine. Puff paint? Any other ideas?

I have an etsy shop but the elephant isn't on there yet. I'll add it tomorrow and shoot you the link, thank you! Those shirts are awesome! Puff paint would be great, green!

I was debating green or gold glitter! Here are the tutus that we bought for $1 last year.

Enjoying this new hobby! There is a wealth of lovely colorful patterns to be found on etsy and I love it!! First "real piece" (meaning it doesn't have the word fuck in it) with lots of color. Here's my first truly completed piece:

Wow. They look good! How many have you done? That seems really impressive for a newbie.

The barren field is the first one I actually completed (and I guess tehnically the first one I ever attempted. I did start a small little practice one on a scrap of fabric but didn't finish it). The "pretty little Paris" pattern is the first one I've actually started that's more color/buildings/structure and no words. So technically I've only completed one. I did have to start Paris over because I started it during our girls beach weekend this past weekend and apparently cannot count well while drinking wine. So that's how far I've made it since Monday. Here's what it will look like completed: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1257382...home_active_15

There are a couple errors you can't see in the picture, but overall it seems...okay? I don't know I keep thinking I'm doing it wrong or my technique is bad but...it's starting to look like something!

Thanks! It's a lot of fun actually - very satisfying to create something even though you're not creative or artistic (my very artistic and creative cousin does not find cross stitching appealing for this exactly reason. Instead she can grab a blank canvas and a few hours later its something beautiful and colorful and unique)!

Added puff paint and made matching bows! Clearly homemade, but fun anyway. Can't wait for these two cuties to wear them.
