A few years ago, I lost 70 pounds. I did it through daily exercise and simple calorie counting via loseit. I didn't starve myself and the weight loss was nearly effortless until I lost my groove. I gained 35 pounds of that weight back and have tried every crash diet to jump start that loss again ... for 2 years. Maybe for me, it's time to go back to the slow and steady approach. I've lost 2 years trying to crash diet into it.
It stinks getting older. I think that plays a role in our reduced caloric needs too.
