Lost another pound this past week! Woot!!
Attempted bikram yesterday; it was more pain than I had anticipated. I could barely do half of the positions. I'm being kind to myself because yoga is much about changing the mind as well as the body but it was still disappointing. Luckily a great friend came with me and sent me a very kind text saying how proud she was of me and my will power. Made me feel really good.
I made an appointment with the chiropractor for Saturday. Hopefully an adjustment helps though I may pull out the tens unit, too.wife of a PGY-2 anesthesiology resident & mother of one adorable baby girl

Bye Bye, diet. See you again Monday! Tomorrow, I feast on the finest butter and cheese laden crap I can make! I bought 8 bricks of cream cheese for tomorrow, people, 8! And, that's just one of the kinds of cheese.Heidi, PA-S1 - wife to an orthopaedic surgeon, mom to Ryan, 17, and Alexia, 11.

Alright, people. Goals for the week. I've been exercising lots and eating pretty well but still too many calories. 3 weeks 'til vacation, want to lose 6lbs before then.
Question for the health nuts. Michele reminded me of the phrase about a fit body starting in the kitchen. Do you think I should cut out cheese for the next 3 weeks? That's really the only fattening food that shows up regularly on my plate.

I think you'd have better luck cutting out carbs - if you haven't already. Or processed foods and/or sugar in general.
I cut out all dairy except for Greek yogurt for a few months and felt great, but I don't know his much weight I really lost. I guess I didn't eat much cheese to begin with - just some sprinkles (heavy sprinkles at times!) on salads. I guess if you're eating a lot of cheese it could make a big difference.... But otherwise, I'm not so sure.
I would also try to stay away from being too fat phobic - it isn't really the enemy.

Awesome!!! I think I lost two lbs - although my weight fluctuates a ton and so I normally prefer to go by measurements. I am feeling kind of gross. Def the most (only by a few lbs) that I've weighed in quite a few years. I'm up almost 10 from this past summer!!!! Terrible. Must get things under control. The horrible weather is not helping. I just can't spend forever on a treadmill. And I think the gray sky makes me hungry.... Blah.
I cut out all carbs (including wine and all fruit - occasionally I'll let myself have a small serving per day). And I have really tried to cut back on nuts - I f'ing love almonds, have been eating far too many. I think it's helped curb my cravings.
I really need to up my water intake. I don't think I've been getting nearly enough.
