bummer! Mine delaminated -the rubber started creeping over the button and the cap; I found a thread on jawbone's forums with a bunch of people with the same problem who said to just contact support and they'd replace it...and they did - I sent them a picture of it, and they sent me a new one with a postage paid return envelope for my old one. I got to keep my cap so I have an extra, too. I'm just now starting to see signs that my new one (well, it's 5-6 months old) is starting to do the same thing. If/when it gets bad again, I'll contact them again; if they won't replace it again because it's been over a year, I'll buy a 24 and hope they're built with stronger adhesive on the rubber...

I've had to hard reset mine a few times too. Not that it's a huge deal. Once I did it because it gave me like 500 steps for folding laundry. Now I wish it still that - I've had clothes sitting in the dryer for two days now

      • The Midwest has made me fat. There, I said it. There are many factors, but it all comes down to the fact that if I were trying as hard as I am now living in the south I would be 20-30 lbs lighter. I still haven't learned to combat the environmental changes. First it was difference in cuisine and now it's that I haven't been outside in FIVE FUCKING MONTHS.

Ditto!! I'm only up about 10 - but I've been trying! In the last two cities we lived in I'd be at least 5lbs lighter just living "my normal." Although - it's been really cold this winter. I'm not ready to blame it all on the location yet. This time next year will be the real test.

Going to get my foot looked at today. I hope this guy can fix it up enough to be able to play tennis again - it's been a year since I played without horrible pain from my nueroma. I really miss it!

I gained 10 lbs the first year and now another 10 the second. And the worst thing is I haven't stopped working out or trying to eat well this.entire.time. And yet the weight keeps piling on. I never even considered tracking calories before moving here!

Good luck at the appointment today, hope it gets better! (i know nothing about nueroma)

            • MB - have you changed any medications? Or are you on a BCP? I know that when I am on a progesterone only BC, I gain a minimum of 20-25 pounds and there is NOTHING I can do to get rid of it.

I don't take anything. I did get the Mirena in Aug 2012 but before that was just using another local contraceptive (NuvaRing)

I have terrible insurance right now but when I get on C's in June I plan to get a full workup. I HAVE been this weight before, and heavier, but not at times when I'm being careful about what I eat, tracking calories, and exercising.

I really have to believe it's just environmental. When we were in NC we spent our free time hiking in the mountains, climbing, riding bikes and long walks. In addition to going to the gym. I think I've gone on 3 walks in the last 5 months. It has to make a difference.

                • When I had the Mirena put in I gained 25 pounds that I cannot shed at all. I am ready to have it yanked for that very reason.

I just looked Nuvaring has both estrogen and progesterone. Mirena is progesterone only. I am guessing that the Mirena is a large factor in the weight gain. Yes, the activity level contributes, but it isn't the whole picture.

Besides, you should come visit me in BFE (3.5-4 hrs from you) and we can go hiking here.

I'd love to! ...do you go hiking when it's 20 degrees? The sun came out so I ended up walking to the bank this morning. Wasn't AS miserable as my walk last week.

Gahh!!! Why didn't I get the copper IUD! I definitely gained weight when I was talking the pill, which is why I switched to NuvaRing. Why is it so impossible to lose weight with progesterone? Can't I just take estrogen pills?

Hellz to the no, I try not to go outside when it is cold. But, in the next few weeks the weather makes a tremendous turnaround (mostly to sucker us into staying another year). I live in very hilly, bluff country and there are some decent walking/hiking trails 5 minutes from my house. You are welcome to come any time as long as you promise to ignore the messy house. Actually, in the next few weeks, the Mississippi will start to open up and bald eagles congregate on the shores for easy fishing. It is a phenomenal sight to see - hundreds of the birds in the trees for a couple of weeks. As a kid I was so confused when people said they were endangered because there were metric shit-ton of them within a couple of miles of us...

Thanks! It went ok. He is suggesting surgery, which makes me nervous. Not sure I'll do it (scared, plus three-four weeks no driving).

But in the meantime got another injection and a script for new inserts. I don't see tennis in the near future, but who knows.

Hmmm I know I gained weight when I went on bc 10 years ago...but I don't know if it was because of the pill or if it was because I was in a happy relationship with DH and didn't have to be so focused on weight (terrible I thought that way, I know...and it got way out of control (to the point that at one point in our relationship I was almost 60lbs heavier than I am now...)). I'm still on bc but I wonder if it'll make weight loss easier when I go off...granted, I'd be going off to have the babies, so it wouldn't last long...

Crap. Now I think it's hurting more post-injection. Ugh. FML. I'm so over this foot pain!

MB, SO suggested Mirena for us but the side effects looked unpleasant so I went on BCP instead. I'd taken Loestrin in college and didn't have any side effects but this time I gained 25 pounds and couldn't fit into my biggest pants. Got a new pill and back to normal.
