  • I HATE running. But the times I have made most progress with weight has been when I was (attempting). Great job Mrs.MD!

    • So, my new heart rate monitor arrived yesterday. This morning, I used the elliptical and then did a workout on the Wii (EA Active). It syncs both ways - from Fitbit to Digifit and vice versa. Here is my data that automatically imported to FitBit:

And here is some of the data I got from Digifit (it uses the GPS on your phone to calculate miles, so .1 was me walking from the basement to the Wii)

You can also turn on voice reminders which tell you when you're going into different zones, but I turned that off. So far, it's exactly what I wanted. Chrisada - something like this may be a good solution for you, too!

          • Wow, that's a lot of data! Fun. Don't take those zones too seriously, everybody's lactate threshold is unique to them.

Did your logged exercise count as active minutes, then? I've been curious about that!

            • Yes! My workout today was 53 minutes and after it said 54 active minutes (probably me running around to collect my needed exercise things!)

              • You guys are awesome! I went to a group class today and it was nice getting all the stress out but holy crap, I was sweating within the first 10 minutes. I am totally hopeless when it comes to cardio.

                • I apparently have started sweating buckets...every workout I am soaked. I don't glow, I look like I went swimming and am still dripping. It's a little gross.

I've always been this way. I think it's why I liked AZ so much (there is just evaporates immediately, although you are often left with a nice salty film - which is gross, but not as gross). I have no advice, but I feel your pain. I guess I try to pick workout clothes that dry quickly - with decent success. And I run with a tiny little towel to keep it out if my eyes on long runs and hikes.

                    • Joining the bandwagon again. Sigh. So unhappy with my body. I had started biking in Jan but after my oral surgery it fell out of habit. Started again yesterday. Can't believe I'm 30lbs heavier than I was pre-O (5.5 years ago).

Nice! It's 3 weeks to form a habit, right? Well done!

Does anyone want a FitBit Flex denim blue band, size L? I'm not using mine, and I'll gladly pop it in the mail for a friend!
