    What's orange theory?

I hadn't thought of padded shorts. I might give those a try.

I'm on day three of eating less and today was really hard staying within the calorie limit. I did it, but it was hard.

Day 2 of South Beach. It isn't that hard, just requires so much planning.

I asked my sisters what they weigh today so I can mentally set goals. I was surprised! Makes me feel better about my modest goal!

I ran a mile at Orange theory in 9:45. I know that is slow but it is really good for me! Especially since I did 1600 yards rowing and 25 minutes of continuous weight legwork after. I really love orange theory
Are you on a concept 2 machine or water rower?

I've been thinking about joining the local rowing team. Of course it'll be 6 months before I'm willing to do anything outside. Water row machine has been a staple cardio for several months now.

Eating lots of tacos, go figure... Also drinking beer in the afternoons since it seems so excessive to buy bottled water every meal. (Just roll with my logic) but i did climb this yesterday, walk 1.5km to a cenote, swam, and walked back. That's sort of exercise, right?

I did a strong and sexy swan arms workout on YouTube. But swans don't have arms. Go figure.

I just finished walking two miles. I've either walked on the treadmill or rowed on the water rower or done a daily burn workout every day this year, and I feel pretty good about building that habit. Sometimes it's just ten or fifteen minutes, but I've still done it. Haven't lost any weight, and I could stand to lose another 25, easy, but the exercise also helps me feel sharper mentally, and have more energy in general, so still worth it, even if I don't lose any more.

Another jog last night, about 1.2 mi, this one was faster, but my ankle was complaining so I eased off. Don't need to injure myself in Jan! I don't really care about weight loss right now, I'm mostly concerned with sleeping better and this seems to be helping.

I've been doing well with workouts. Mostly walking and jogging on the treadmill. Best buy ever! I hate gyms. I learned that I cannot let DH do the food shopping though. He brings home way too much chocolate and if it's there I'll eat it.
New scales comes tomorrow so I'll see if I've made any progress. Going for a walk this afternoon since it will be in the mid 30's.

Someone asked how often do we weigh. To answer that I weigh weekly.

The bike in our little gym still isn't fixed. I went and checked with the property management office and they said they contacted somebody but they don't know when they're coming out. Hopefully it will be soon as it turns out the elliptical hurts my knee for several days so I guess I can't do that yet. I really need that bike and to drop the holiday pounds. Then my knee will feel much better.

It's just as well since we're still eating the old leftover food in our fridge. I couldn't justify tossing it all to start the diet. We're getting close to the next trip to the grocery store so that's when I can stock up on the healthy stuff. I just hope that exercise bike is ready by then too.

I need permission to reduce my time on the treadmill ... or else encouragement to keep it up. I'm only at 30 minutes, but I dread it so much that I'm not going. DH tells m to just do 10 minutes if that's all I can muster and I think he's right. I just feel guilty putting in less .... so instead I've skipped the gym which means I'm not doing the back machines either. I need to keep up with it all. The damned shitty thing about being fat is that exercise is hard. This was so much easier to do 70 pounds ago ... and it's creating this loop of failure. Exercise is harder, so I don't do it, which leads to me staying overweight.

Anyone feel like coming here and kicking me in the behind?

Thomas is right. Just do 10. If while you are doing 10, you feel like doing 20 more? Fantastic. But just set out to move.

Yeah. 30min on the treadmill (without TV) would drive me insane. And I'm a gym rat. Even if you still want 30min of cardio - try doing 10 on the TM, 10 on the elliptical, and 10 on a bike or rower. Just to sort if keep you from getting bored. That, or find some shows you're really into and download them on to an iPad so you don't notice the time.

Netflix or audiobooks are the only way I survive the treadmill!
