I figure the old one might need to be archived...I remember posting in it pregnant with my now 1 year old!
However, I loved the idea and want to hear what you have planned for 2017 and designate a place to share progress and successes.
Here are mine:
Running: I don't have any distance race goals this year--my kids are just a little too young and our schedule is just a little too crazy for me to do them often. That being said, here are my loose goals for 2017
Everything else:

Here are mine:
Running: I don't have any distance race goals this year--my kids are just a little too young and our schedule is just a little too crazy for me to do them often. That being said, here are my loose goals for 2017
- Get closer to a 30 minutes 5k. Right now it is about 35 minutes. I think 32 minutes is a realistic goal for this year.
- Run 1000 miles in a year. There is an official challenge out there, but I'm going to just track with Strava. This comes out to ~3 miles a day, which is doable with the schedule I trying to be more consistent with in the New Year. (4-6 miles on T/TH, 6-12 mile long run on the weekend)
- I'm mulling a marathon for Spring 2018 to celebrate my 30th birthday. There will be much mulling. So much mulling.
Everything else:
- I lost ~35 lbs in 2016. I'd like to lose 25-35 more this year. I wont know what the end goal looks like until I get closer. I think my goal is a size 8--I'm a solid 12 now. I'm never going to be petite (I'm 5' 7" and have a large frame), so I don't know how realistic anything smaller than that really is for me. I'm learning to appreciate my curves and am more focused on looking fit and strong than a particular size at this point. I want more definition in my upper body, lose the baby inner tube, and work on my ass! I've come to accept that I like food too much and my life is too busy to aspire to "perfect"
- Weigh less than my husband! We've been together 13 years and I think I can do it this year! He will promptly go bike miles and miles if I reach this milestone.
- Do a duathlon with my husband. We did one prior to kids and it was so much fun!
- Encourage my oldest in active habits. I just didn't have that as a child and I wish I did. I'm hoping to get her good enough on a bike to occasionally ride with me while I run. Tentatively, we are going to help her train for a childrens triathlon--she is so excited! @tulipsandsuncreen, your oldest might like it too. It's a 25 yard swim, 1 mile bike on a closed course, and .25 mile run--so don't think I'm a crazy person torturing my child!
