I think one of the biggest areas of growth was finally coming to truly accept that exercise does not lead to weight loss. It has so many amazing benefits but even now my husband will say something about putting me on a treadmill to lose weight and I'm like, um, no. If I didn't lose weight doing CrossFit I'm pretty sure that concludes the topic.

BUT if you are ready to buckle down I would be happy to be an accountability partner. I went off program way more than I planned this weekend -- the anticipated break next week has unraveled my discipline. Hoping when I get back from vacation in September I'll be able to buckle down again.
I don't know about more kids, but if we do it is likely to be one and not for another few years. Being pregnant was my break from dieting, haha. I mean, I prefer to just eat whatever I want, but it just means slow gaining. Plus I've learned that breastfeeding is my best chance for any weight loss. If I don't lose the baby weight while I'm breastfeeding, that could be baddddd. I've always managed to do at least that with each child. 25 lbs gets me to a relatively happy place. I feel pretty good at 35 lbs. 55 lbs is really the "end goal" but I don't feel shitty about my looks at 35 lbs from where I am now. Right now I am not happy about how I look.

    I'm on LoseIt...

So, yeah, I guess I'm ready to buckle down.

Today was weigh in day for me and I’m down 2.6 pounds from last week, which means I’m still up about 3 pounds from Cabo trip. It’s not coming off as fast as I hoped, but I’m not tracking as diligently as I was before. I’m still mentally struggling with logging my food, but I have been going to Orangetheory classes pretty frequently. I even went to one this past weekend while traveling 5.5 hours away to move my oldest daughter into her dorm. As you guys were saying though, you can’t out exercise a bad diet. I came home last night mentally and physically exhausted from crying more than half the drive home. I can’t believe my daughter is so far away and I’m an emotional mess right now and just need to avoid eating my feelings.

Welcome back on the wagon Marissa! I started out this journey reluctantly too, so I completely get where you’re at right now. I’m on Lose it too, so you should send me a friend request. Email is charlenertafoya@msn.com. Sometimes, my weigh in’s and activity look a little funky on there because DH is logging too. Even though he has his own lose it account, we share the same apple
id so it criss crosses our weigh ins. So frustrating and still trying to figure out a workaround for it.

You can do it! I know it’s hard to get motivated about losing weight you’ve lost before. That’s an obstacle for me too. I’ve worked hard to make it all a blank slate.

I’m on lose it too if you want to be friends and support each other.

I am down 1.2. I am close enough to my goal of 160.0 that I hope I can meet it next week. The reward for reaching my goal is dinner at the Chinese Buffet. I know it is counterproductive to reward weight loss with dinner at a buffet. But I don't want to think about it lol. Lalala... fingers in ears.

I’ve lost a total of 25.6 pounds. I’m not sure how many pounds this week because there were some ups and downs. I’m a little frustrated because the loss isn’t really visible. I’ve lost enough to make my pants and shirts a little loose, but I’m still big. It’s hard to be patient!!!!!

One thing you could do, is go to a clothing store, and try on clothes one size down. They may not fit you. But, I bet they are closer than you fear.
                          Hang in there!!

I think I will go try on clothes. Thats a good idea. I also got a boost yesterday after getting together for lunch. We haven’t seen each other since I started my program. She asked me if I’d lost a lot of weight. It made me feel so good! Someone noticed. It is noticeable. Motivation!

I gained 3.0 last week. And thinking back, my body was kind to me, it could have been alot more. For example, I had a skin cancer scare the last couple of weeks. And when my doctor told me the mole was clear, I of course, needed to celebrate with chocolate. And that was how my week went. Just plain too much food.
