One of my quick "go-to" recipes is shrimp marinaded for about 30 minutes in a mix of Sriracha and EVOO with some salt and pepper. Cooked in a pan or in the oven. Easy, spicy, yummy. We do them as tacos or with rice and veggies! I didn't get out to the grocery store, so DD and I will either have mac and cheese or pasta with a jar of sauce and canned green beans

Bertoli's frozen pasta, one kid is having bagel pizzas and the other Mac and cheese. I don't think I've cooked a real meal since sometime last week!

You guys are making me hungry!! Why is this residency dinner not until after 7? We're early eaters in this house.

Grilled tuna, broccoli, TJs brown rice. I'm not into cooking today. I made a rice bowl for N and she shoved it down her pants.

DH ended up bringing dinner home between cases - quesadillas and chips with queso. DD demolished her quesadilla!

DH made pork chops with a broccoli frozen steamer and Rice A Roni. So good! Having spaghetti tomorrow night.

Tonight was pasta with leftover sausage diced up into to, tossed with olive oil, a bit of the pasta water, herbs and salt. Easy peasy.

Tomorrow, is black beans and rice... I'd better get some black beans! Toss a bag of beans into the crock pot with a couple of bay leaves, cumin and some sort of smoked pork. I usually use hocks or shoulders, but I found some smoked pork neck at a mexican market this weekend and am looking forward to using that. The marrow should help make it really rich! I just eyeball the water level and add more as need to keep it at a thick stew level.

I'm going to have to try this one soon - do you start it in the morning? What do you serve it with? You had me at "smoked pork."

Very similar to my red beans recipe I haven't ever done it in the crockpot, though. Besides the rice, I usually just serve a green salad of some kind.

Y'all are making me jealous! I came home from the gym and was starving. I had a plain frozen waffle, as that is all we had in the house. Blech.

Yep, I start them in the morning. I don't really have a recipe I follow.

That's great, because I don't really follow recipes!
