Take heart, after you're feeling better you'll probably be able to do more with your front teeth than you think.
I'm sure he'd love me telling you this , but my father lost all of his molars some years ago to gum disease and did not have enough bone to be eligible for implants. He looks normal speaking but is missing something like ten teeth in the back. After an initial period of adjustment, he can eat all normal foods, including steak, eats out at restaurants no problem, etc., using just his front teeth. (Not that you'd be eating steak anyway!) My mother continues to be surprised, especially about the steak, but that's adaptation for you, I guess.
