Re: House: A Memoir by Michael Ruhlman

The chef influence thing occurred to me after I posted that last message. I don't know if that is part of it or not; a lot of them do seem pretty prima-donnaish. I'm trying to remember any other male autobiographical books I've read recently...Stephen Fry and Bill Bryson are the only two that come to mind, and I did really like both of them, but they're both very self-deprecating. Hm.

turns out it's at the Clinic, which surprised the heck out of me. yes, the Clinic is world-class, amazing (especially cardiac) stuff, but Rainbow-Babies has had claim to being THE place for pediatric stuff for decades. CCF was starting to horn in on it when we moved, but that book was written before then.

i just finished the book this morning -- but didn't pick up on any "twist".

I don't remember what the twist was. Maybe I didn't want to give away the darkroom. I dunno...
