OK--I'm back. Actually I got back Monday morning (after sleeping in the Atlanta airport overnight!) and have been so f***ing behind that I haven't even checked in here all week. I've got time when Mitchell naps (sometime between 12 and 3 every day) or in the evenings. What works good for you guys?

Sue, I'm sorry, I was going to try to set up a time while you were gone....
I think my timezone makes it a little difficult for evening (when everyone else has time, we'll be eating dinner). Around noon or 3pm eastern would work for me on Monday. Otherwise, I can be pretty flexible next week.

I finally finished this book after starting it, well, over a year ago. I had to re-read it start to finish because I had forgotten most everything I had read before.
I really liked book. The logistics of it all and figuring out where and when everything happened was a little difficult, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. How old is he again? Is this a present self or a future self?
Did anyone else see a parallel to the medical lifestlye..never knowing when they are going to be back, always waiting.... I mean sure, it isn't the same, but I feel like I am always waiting too. I could really identify with that feeling.Heidi, PA-S1 - wife to an orthopaedic surgeon, mom to Ryan, 17, and Alexia, 11.

I didn't think about that Heidi, but you have a point about it kind of parallelling medicine. You might be at a party, in bed, whatever and suddenly they disappear.... I suppose we at least get a little warning before they take off.Awake is the new sleep!

Anyone still discussing this? I loved the book and I am new to the boards. I completely agree with the connection to the medical wife lifestyle.
