  • I built DD2's crib today. A had an epic meltdown because I wouldn't let her sleep in said crib and then because I needed the fistful of bolts she was holding. There was actually a wet spot on the carpet from where she plunked herself to sob.

    • Last 24 hours: 1) Picked up my crying dog from the vet. CIMG2401.jpg CIMG2396.jpg 2) Found out my dad has prostate cancer, has for a while. Next Monday they see if it went to the bone (they think it has) and will see how long he has to live. 3) Took an atavan to get some amount of sleep and woke up this morning really really really Crabby (want to break something).

      • Oh no, Alacrity! Was it another dog that got yours? I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, lots of mojo for something treatable.

        • Removed a lymphoma. We were putting it off, but they had to put him under for a dental cleaning so we decided to have it done. Working from home and trying REALLY hard not to have a drink

I don't even drink and I think I'd be having one under those circumstances. I'm so sorry; I hope the news about your dad is better than you fear, and in the meantime, treat yourself well.

                • Well, this is turning out to be a very bad, no good day for you. I'm so sorry. I hope the testing brings better news for your dad.

                  • I'm sorry A! What a sucky day. No judging if you spike your coffee. Or just add a little coffee to your booze.

                    • I'm sorry. I think you should just put the booze in a coffee cup. Sometimes, we. Are big time enablers here. Can you just end today and get on to tomorrow?

                        Possibly skipping the coffee altogether.

                        • I think I best hold out until I end the work day (working from home) However, the wife just got home from meetings and has to leave in an hour. I'm blocking out an hour on my calendar and setting AFK, while I go try to get a huggle (TM) in.
