Today, I ran several errands only to arrive late at one of them. Which pushes that errand out to tomorrow

Today, I had a completely OCD evening and scrubbed my entire bathroom floor with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. It was filthy and I had no idea because I had washed it yesterday.

Today, I tried to vacuum the coils on my fridge, only to discover that the numb nuts who designed it put them underneath the fridge and I have no vacuum attachment small enough to get in between them.

Today, I also discovered that the entire bottom of my freezer was covered with a sheet of ice roughly 3/8" thick. I am hoping that it isn't a one time deal so I can see about getting a new fridge out of my home warranty.

Take an old papertowel cardboard tube, duct tape one end to hose attachment and flatten other end until thin enough to fit!

Today I woke up to one of my favorite smells: BACON!!! My sister made everyone a huge delicious breakfast. I flove my sisters cooking!

Today my youngest DD is going to a birthday slumber party for one of her BFF's. I got a little teary eyed driving through our old neighborhood while dropping her off. All the old neighborhood kids were at the park across the street from our old house and I knew each and every one of them. Makes me a little sad to be leaving our hometown in less than 2 weeks. It was bizarre seeing someone else's truck in MY driveway at our old house.

DH is on backup call and got called in to work. So much for going on a date tonight while DD is at the slumber party. .

Today we are taking the kids to ride a real Thomas Train, they're going to have so much fun! This is probably my biggest rave about post training is being able to afford to do things like this.

today I woke up at 10am, to my kids in the tub, my coffee brewing and my husband cleaning the kitchen. w.t.f?

today we were able to get a play time in at the park, but then it started to pour

today I fell in love with a dining room table, sigh. I wish we knew if we were staying or going. I hate that our life and its long term plan is contingent on contract negiations. It's been a long time, come.on.

Today I am trying to tell myself that I can do this half marathon in oct, but this mornings run was ugly and has me doubting myself.

Today I am getting a new pair of toms! The stars and strips to congratulate me on getting the raise that I have been working toward.

Congrats on the raise Brandi, you deserve it! As for the half? A bad run isn't that big of deal. Shake it off mentally try again tomorrow.

Today I have jury duty. Again. 2nd time within the last few weeks. I've never had it before and was looking forward to it the first time (trial was settled day before), but now is NOT a good time with the move and the house being on the market. I now totally understand why people try to get out of serving.

                    • Today my husband has a pre-call day, that isn't filled with him leaving the house at 7 to study for 8 hours before his shift starts, so today he got up, took our peanut to nursery and had some breakfast, went out to run errands and then is coming home to take us out for lunch at noon.

Today i'm feeling a little bit off, likely from the gastro that has ripped through my house like a hurricaine - I've avoided it until now, but am definitely feeling off - hope i'm better by Wednesday, because we leave on a 1 week trip.

Today I'm planning some summer vacation stuff. Trip to Minneapolis with the family, summer camp for the elder son, trying to find a reasonable 2 week cottage rental (it's cheaper to fly to Vegas for 2 weeks with the kids and stay in a 5 star hotel, than to try to rent a crappy summer cottage here)...

                      Today I'm happy.

                      • Today I am playing general contractor, again, for all of the continued home improvements - which really aren't improvements just fixing things.

Today it rained and cooled things off nicely, yesterday was HOT!

                        • Today, I am turning in the last (so they tell me) document needed to send our file to the underwriters.
Today, I am doing our family's laundry, and line-drying the cloth diapers to save some $/let the sun's UV rays bleach them out.
Today, I am catching up on correspondence while my son sleeps.
                          Today, I am enjoying being a stay-at-home-mom.

                          • Today I am cleaning my house to get it ready to host our first 20yr HS reunion planning meeting. I'm still not sure how I ended up agreeing to help plan! But I just don't have it in my personality to say no. Sigh.

Today I am also working on my dissertation, doing laundry, and figuring out what to cook for dinner.

Today is a fairly boring day for me, and I am happy about that!

Hahaha moonlight, I love the summer vegas heat, but that's because I suffer through way too many months of -40 winter!

Today I'm definitely feeling run down.
Today I'm looking forward to the kids being in bed by 7 (so I can be in bed by 8)
Today my kids all had to have bloodwork and the needle kept falling out of my poor sons arm, he was so traumatized, but not as traumatized as he was when I told him that he was only getting a KinderEgg as his treat, and not the 100$ airplane he was convinced he'd get.
