Today I watched my firstborn dance a variation (thank you Advil and a knee brace) from Coppelia and knew making her stay in ballet when she was 6 was the best thing for her!

Today, and everyday, I don't regret having left my dissertation behind me. Things that would make me irritable simply don't any longer. I have time and patience to hang out with dd all day AND put a balanced meal on the table for her and me, despite the fact that she will never eat it!married to an anesthesia attending

Today I read at least two posts by Pollyanna that are dead on. I can learn a lot from her.
Today I am laying in bed while my husband is on a guy's trip with my neighbor and the neighbors wife has taken the three older girls to a movie
Today my kids were grounded from friends and we did a bunch of chores. I remembered how well they work with lists and structure.
Today on my anniversary gift, an iPad, I found a great music app called Songza. Love it!
Today my kids are struggling because DH's work schedule was horrendous the last couple months. I can't be both parents.Needs

I am determined that today will be a good day. It is my bosses normal day out of the office and I am using it to catch up on a metric crap ton of administrative BS.
Today, DS9 goes to a friend's house in the afternoon and most likely won't be back until bed time.
Today, I must clean my house because I have a guest coming for the weekend.
Today, DD3 and I will have leftovers again for dinner. I am constantly amazed at how little I am spending on groceries for the 3 of us. I have been tracking every penny that is spent and my grocery bill for May was only $350, which still includes lots of stocking of the pantry because of the move. We are nearly half-way through June and I have spent $117. This is so much less than I had originally budgeted. Granted, I am paying way more than I thought for household stuff - garden hoses, sprinklers, new shower head, etc, so it all balances out.Kris

Today I took DD for her 6-month appointment. She did great! She cried a little with the shots, but now she's happily cooing in her bed instead of napping.
Today I'm tired.
Today I think DH will get off work by about 4:30. That means he'll probably get off at 8:00...Laurie

Well the whole convo was pretty amusing, but here's a gem, "I would prefer working 5 days on and 2 days off so that I can spend time with my SO". Hahaha wouldn't we all?!?
He also asked for Christmas and New Year's off. Ummmmmmm no.
Also, he wondered if he could get a closer parking spot because "it's a really long walk". Hahahaha this incoming class is gonna be a doozy. You guys would love some of their idiotic requests.I'm just trying to make it out alive!
