Happy anniversary, SJ!!!
Liisi, that's so awesome! I'm so happy your surprise worked! That made me exhausted just reading it...
Today I got to hang out with Thirteen and Bean at a mall. It made my day!
Today we put the kids down for an early bedtime, and I'm about to go play Guild Wars 2! I was shocked and thrilled to discover that my ancient computer will run it.Laurie

Thanks everybody! DH made it home in time to hang out a bit with dd and me, and now he's off picking up some takeout. We are taking a painting class together soon to celebrate officially, but I'm still excited for a relaxing, low key evening together.Wife to PGY4 & Mother of 3.

Today, I am trying desperately to finish up a multitude of projects since the kids are with their dad.
- refinishing S's bedroom set
- clean the entire house
- finish up a few projects for work
- and the coup de grace? Clean out my parent's attic.
I'm pretty sure I won't have trouble sleeping tonight.Kris

Today, I'm going to drive to farmer's market even though it's a 7-minute walk, which I feel guilty about... but I'm going on my own, and thus won't be able to carry the bag of veggies, two lemonades, and two plates of chana masala home all by myself and will need the car!
Today, I ordered a hands-free leash online, because my RSI (hand/wrist pain) has been flaring up due to how much the Beagle pulls and lunges during his walks. We had a dog trainer come to the house 2 or 3 times and then flaked out and stopped those sessions...so SHHHH, don't tell her that instead of continuing to train the Beagle not to pull, I'm dealing with the problem by buying a leash that attaches to a belt around my waist!!! The leash was designed for joggers, so they can exercise with their dogs. I will just be using the leash to make strolls to the end of the street and back more comfortable, ha.

Happy anniversaries, scrub-jay and L. Jane! Liisi, I'm glad the granola turned out well! I'll have to make mine tomorrow. Today DH and I went on a hike and hit up a farm stand on the way home. We got a big basket of habaneros and made a jerk chicken marinade for tomorrow! We also got some sweet corn, melon, green beans, and fresh garlic. Grilling some steaks and sweet corn now! YUM.Wife of PGY-4 (of 6), cat herder, and mom to a sassy-pants four-nager.

Today, I intended to go for a nice walk this morning up to the top of one of the local bluffs (probably in the neighborhood of a 700 ft altitude change, very steep, but pretty). About a mile into the walk, the road met up with a wooded trail through a county forest and I decided to take it. My quick 3 mile-ish walk turned into 2 hours and 6 miles, but I realized that I really like trail running.
Now, if only I can manage to keep moving today, my hips are way sore.Kris
