Today is Ns last day with vgirl. We are going to miss them and I'm so grateful for what V did for me. She rocks

Today the packers are here putting all of our stuff into boxes! And, I left the house wearing my slippers. At least I was just going to pick up donuts and gatorade!Allison - professor; wife to a urology attending; mom to baby girl E (11/13), baby boy C (2/16), and a spoiled cat; knitter and hoarder of yarn; photographer

Today I awoke from a vivid dream at 6:30 to find my 6-year-old (sick with a bilateral ear infection and sleeping in our bed because of it) sitting bolt-upright and running for the bathroom...man, I hate puking illnesses. So grateful at least he's old enough to find an appropriate receptacle.Alison

Today I got a pair of pointe shoes for free! We were at a store we don't usually buy them from and I was getting 3 pairs (2 for M, 1 for E). I found an old frequent buyer card in my wallet that had two spaces to be filled. Filled those two so the 3rd pair was free!Veronica

DS' class had their water park day and the little stinker not only took off his rash guard, but then didn't put on any sunscreen while they were there for 5 hours. It's almost 90F and sunny today. Poor kid looks like a lobster and has hopefully learned the lesson to wear his damn rash guard and sunscreen.
Dumbass.

Oceanchild, my sister is watching her for the summer and then she will be with another friend whose husband is a classmate of J's until next March, when DH finished his rotations.
I'm glad it worked out so well because this friend just quit her job herself to be with her girls, so she understands what it is like for me and is welcoming the opportunity to make some cash too! And one of her little girls is almost exactly Ns age, so that will be fun. DH is closer this time, so he can help with the dropoffs and pickups, despite what he said this evening...he better because this is well out of the way for me and he got off Scott free for awhile!Married to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.

In all fairness, V's house is 10-15 min from where I work and 45+ in traffic from the hospital, so it made sense. And he did pick up from my parent's house on Thursdays some times. Ugh, but he pissed me off tonight! "What about my anesthesiology rotation when I have to go in super early?" Well, then I will obviously drop off, but you could pick up!!! It's awesome that you have so many friends and family members to tap for childcare!Julia - legislative process lover and general government nerd, married to a PICU & Medical Ethics attending, raising a toddler son and expecting a baby daughter Oct '16.

Today we are celebrating our 3rd anniversary (actually day is a weekday). N is staying over at my parents tonight and we are going to a steakhouse (with gift certificates from CC reward points--classy). DH brought me flowers We still have no idea what we are going to do tonight after dinner. I'm up for anything that involves actual "togetherness." (i.e. me on the computer and him on the xbox ain't an option)
Today 2 pairs of shoes arrived from Zulily. N loves shoes. We tried them both on. She was so into it. Stride Rite wide is a good thing for her...
Today I tried a crappy sprayer to stain our fence and realized we are going to have to pony up some $$$ for a real one, because I refuse to spend hours rolling it. Then I cleared out all the weeds in the yard and added some mulch. Feeling productive.Married to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.

Today, I set the K Bros with some paper and markers at our kitchen table while I took a potty break. When I got out of the bathroom, K1 very excitedly told me, "Look! I have track marks on my arm!" He had drawn a train track up the inside of his arm.Wife and #1 Fan of Attending Adult & Geriatric Psychiatrist.
