  • Today, DrK told K1 that, if he does not behave himself, we are going to have the guys from Duck Dynasty babysit. IDK know who the Duck Dynasty guys are but they look scary and K1 was terrified. Daddy fail.

      • Today my husband cleaned up puppy pee with vinegar... Wtf?? Now the whole house smells like spoiled salad dressing... Someone please tell me he just made this up. Did I mention that the bottle of carpet cleaner is RIGHT next to the vinegar?

Vinegar neutralizes cat pee, but I have no idea about dog pee.

          • Vinegar smell will dissipate. It's a good disinfectant too.

                • Finally the day I got all three kiddos in to see the dentist (it was like a two month wait). Yesterday, DH finally realized that DD really does need to get into ENT because she sometimes can't eat most of the day due to throat pain. He finally called bc my six months of trying have resulted in not one call back - he got her into a cancellation. It's one hour after our first dentist appt starts. I am letting go of control, taking a nanny with us, starting DD at the dentist and leaving the other kids there with the nanny so I can get DD to ENT. I'm really hoping we walk in, he sees that her tonsils block the entirety of her throat, and we can schedule to get them out. I'm so over living in a place that my DD is so allergic and reactive to.

I hope it is that easy. When we met with the ENT about C's tonsils the guy walked into the room and was still 10 feet away from C when he said that both tonsils and adenoids needed to come out. Apparently, he could tell by the sounds he made when breathing that his airway was horribly obstructed. Obviously, he did a physical exam, but I thought it was interesting that he could dx by listening to his breathing (the tonsils were enlarged to a 3.5 out of 4 - meaning they were almost touching). There were no less than 4 people in the room at the time too.

                    • Today I'm working from home because our new amazingly comfortable king size mattress is getting delivered! We picked up new sheets yesterday, and the comforter set (which I got half off for $150) will be here within the week. So excited, and hoping we can both sleep better soon! We moved our old queen bed into the guest room over the weekend while my parents were here to help, and we've been sleeping in there for the past 2 nights.

                        Bwahahaha!

Today, as I was biking home from dropping S at school, I had one of those moments where I envision the worst case scenario (in this case getting hit by a car while biking) and all I could think, was I sure hope that they somehow consult Dr. Vanquisher on any orthopaedic issues and I wondered how they would do that with HIPAA.

It doesn't take a genius to see that my stress level at being the only person fully responsible for the kids is getting to me.

                        • Today I am getting on a plane (or two) for the third day in a row. I will also be sleeping in my fourth bed in four nights. I really need a staycation after this "vacation" But alas... back to work tomorrow. Is it October yet? Things don't slow down until then....

                          • Today my laziness reached new heights (depths?) when instead of bending over to pick up a frisbee and putting it away, I instead moved it over a couple of feet with my foot so that the grass wouldn't die where it has laid since Friday.

If I had been drinking when I read this I would have spit it on my laptop! LOL!

Today I convinced the kids to have rest time because R is overly tired and having meltdowns every day about lunch. This really concerns me because I signed him up for afternoon preschool because he has given up his nap. But now that he's waking really early I fear afternoon preschool is not going to be good...

It will shake out. Either he will go to bed earlier, or he will wake up later. Stay strong.
