    Re: the duggar family

Don't ask why I looked at this but hardly any of the items they registered for were purchased. I would have thought that their huge family and adoring fans would have cleaned up house on the registries....I guess they might have to move in with the rest of the Duggar crew...

I'm SO glad I wasn't the only one who had that go through their mind when reading about the wedding registry.

Either that, or Pampers to be donated to the Commune! I still find the whole thing to be a little sick. Even my Mom, a "Good Catholic", said after #6 that "if the Pope wasn't going to come and babysit, she wasn't having anymore".

Alright people fess up, who was it that bought them Skittles, Hershey, and Starbursts off of their wedding registry on Bed Bath and Beyond.

They did have a couple of things like dishes, a set of queen size bed linens, and a picture frame. Let's not forget the candy they registered for.

When we got married we got very little purchased for us from our registry.

Arkansas family welcomes 18th child, a girl

ROGERS, Ark. – An Arkansas woman has given birth to her 18th child. Michelle Duggar delivered the baby girl by Caesarean section Thursday at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. The baby, named Jordyn-Grace Makiya Duggar, weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and was 20 inches long.

"The ultimate Christmas gift from God," said Jim Bob Duggar, the father of the 18 children. "She's just absolutely beautiful, like her mom and her sisters."

The Duggars now have 10 sons and eight daughters.

Jim Bob Duggar said Michelle started having contractions Wednesday night. She needed the C-section, her third, because the baby was lying sideways. Jim Bob said both baby and mother were doing well Thursday night.

"We both would love to have more," he said.

The cable network TLC broadcasts a weekly show about the Duggars, called "17 Kids and Counting." Chris Finnegan of TLC — which handles public relations for the Duggar family — said the show's name would be updated to account for the latest addition to the family. He said TLC also will air a show Monday on the baby's delivery.

Jim Bob Duggar is 43, a year older than his wife. Their oldest child, Joshua, is 20.

                  The other Duggar children, in between Joshua and Jordyn-Grace, are Jana, 18; John-David, 18; Jill, 17; Jessa, 16; Jinger, 14; Joseph, 13; Josiah, 12; Joy-Anna, 11; Jeremiah, 9; Jedidiah, 9; Jason, 8; James, 7; Justin, 6; Jackson, 4; Johannah, 3; and Jennifer, 1.

"Our whole family is excited about Jordyn's addition to our family," Jim Bob Duggar said. "She's just perfect in every way."

Yet note that even Michelle Duggar, of questionable sanity, is sane enough not to have three under 3.
So I think we'll need to be committed in the autumn.

Look at all the ages, though; she definitely HAS had 3 under 3 in the past. Of course, in more recent years, she's had a lot of help from the older ones, I'm sure.

Well it makes sense, sometimes I hear people with 1-2 kids complaining how tired they are, and I think 'what are you complaining about' - Michelle can think that about everybody.

18 kids? I know it's been said before, but IMHO I find it freakish. There, I said it. Now, I'll go back to my cave.

Is she the one with those creepy TV commercials who says "There's always room for one more" while she's stroking her belly??? With a big circle of kids around her?

I can handle Jon and Kate, but not the Duggars...

I completely agree. If your belief in God is so strong that you feel he or she is the boss applesauce of procreation, then so be it. But you can't have it both ways. You can't be against selective reduction or abortion because "it's murder" but at the same time give the go-ahead to have 933 petri dish children growing in your womb at the same time.
