  • I googled it once and there was a club about a hour away from here. Not that it matters, we are way too young for it right now. I just try and keep my mind open for sports DD might like to try. I'm sure when we move back to Texas some day there are a few clubs around for girls to get started if they are into it. Are most of the swimmers short? I have a feeling DD is going to be on the taller side.

    • I had a good friend that did it - she was to short to be a competitive swimmer but was good at syncro. I don't think its something A will be doing, I'm having a hard enough time trying to find someone that can actually teach her how to swim!

        • US-Canada soccer, anyone?

I was just going to put it on in the background while I worked. Yeah, sure. Hell of a game.

Unbelievable!! What a game. I was trying to clean around the house at the time and by about the 75th minute I just had to stop because I was literally running into the living room every couple of minutes to see what was going on.

              • I was in synchronized swimming classes for a very brief time when I was younger. It was loads of fun but very hard. Sculling...ugh. Had to quit when we moved.

Yesterday at work everyone was mesmerized by the synchronized swimmers. You should have seen it. All faces were glued to the TV and discussing how they use vaseline on their teeth to keep a permanent smile on their faces even under water, because the taste of the vaseline keeps them from frowning. I couldn't believe even in the under water camera shot they were still smiling upside down.
