  • I watched the news popping up about the closing Olympic ceremony's and the reminder about the Paralympics starting in London in 16 days. The Olympics seemed to go so fast this time. For some reason it felt like they used to take all summer but alas.

    • Cinderella, I second that. I didn't get to watch synchro and rhythmic gymnastics so kind of bummed. Guess there'll be another chance in four years

I thought the Brazilian preview was great. I love Marisa Monte. It'll be really telling to see how Brazil does with the World Cup in 2014... it is definitely no England when it comes to organization.

I actually really liked the closing ceremonies all around. It felt very appropriate. And I miss the Olympics already!

        • I'm really annoyed that NBC didn't show the ballet portion of the closing ceremonies. A ballerina came out of retirement to perform. My girls and I watched all the way through waiting to see her. I wasn't super-impressed.

          • So after Olympic coverage comes post coverage. You'll be hearing about this for a long time but not too long I hope.

I dare not show the coverage of the too sexy US women's volleyball team, but here is an interview with the goal medalist. Like all Jon Stewart interviews they are at the end of the segment or the last third of the show.

Also two of my fav events. It was all in just about 1 day if you didn't have cable. The only American rhythmic gymnast retired at these games. I was a little surprised there wasn't any competitive American women in that sport. I guess we lack a good training center for it?
