            WHAT? I can't believe that. I cannot believe it.

            When the dust settles, can you ask them why? How could you make your app stronger? You have to reapply, you HAVE to.

              Shit. I'm so sorry.

              I did note that it said "at this time." I would totally contact them and ask what it was about your app that didn't get you in and how to improve it. Adcoms are usually pretty receptive to that as long as you don't have a current application in.

              What about the distance program at UofW?

                Would you consider appealing or asking if there is a wait list? Sometimes that's enough to get in if they have last minute unfilled openings.

                    I'm so sorry, and I am also hoping you re-apply and that they will tell you how to strengthen your application. There are a lot of doctors on this board (and presumably in the rest of the world) who didn't get in to MS on their first application but still made it anyway.

                            Okay kids, so our PA in our practice is FB friends with the program director. Our PA contacted her and has asked that she contact DH (who has been a clinical preceptor for them). Our PA knows of a someone who got into school as a favor to a preceptor.

                            So, DH is going to ask. Why the hell not?

                              It took DH until the third try to get in to medical school. Take time to grieve, because this really really sucks and you deserve better, but I hope you'll dust yourself off. This is worth doing.
