I am assuming that will all happen eventually. Did they say when? The live feed is ridiculous. Everyone starts cheering every time someone walks past the door.

All the palace said is it will be today. I don't imagine it will be after sunset but maybe. There are just two hours left before sunset. The cool thing about the livestream link is it's DVR so you can go back and watch it if you don't catch it right off.

Actually I can see the light changing to that golden hour glow already. Maybe the sun (son) is coming out? lol

Now presenting His Royal Highness The Prince of Cambridge - I have goosebumps!

Good job guys! They're going to present the baby in their arms then go back inside and come back out with the baby in the car seat.

Wow, I must say that was very quick and controlled. I think the crowd was caught by surprise somewhat. Clearly they want privacy. It's not 1982 anymore.

Umm... I did enjoy seeing the people hugging each other afterwards and watching them drive away and seeing the crowds down the street. Now the media is packing it up in time for the 5 pm deadline of the nightly news over here.

Next comes the announcement of the name. Then the photo shoot with the new baby. The christening. Mostly though they appear to really want to just be left alone during this time.

I don't blame them. Having a baby is HARD. Let alone having to look photo ready within 24 hours. She looked absolutely gorgeous in the photos, I can't believe she just had a baby. I looked like a hot mess for days afterward (and yes, I know she has "people"...it didn't matter, my eyes were swollen shut almost. Ain't nothing "people" can do with that).

She did look very happy, pretty and had a motherly glow. He also looked relaxed, attractive, supportive and fatherly. I liked that they were wearing blue together and were casually dressed. The newborn appeared to be sleeping. From the photos I realized they must have had people on the roofs to get shots of the baby. I also kept seeing the couple crane their necks to look high up towards the sky and wave.

You're right Alison. William's Uncle is Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.

I love that one of the CNN reporters mentioned that most of us will be dead when the new prince becomes king. Hahaha morbid much?

I have done really well in avoiding all media regarding this subject, but I just wanted to say that I can't imagine having paparazzi in my face like that, post-partum. Being a new parent is overwhelming enough without it. I'm hoping the proper respect will be given to the new little family, so they can have some sense of "privacy" while they figure out how to do newborn life. Yiiiiiiiiikes.

Seriously. And I would die a slow death if I were one of the "reporters" malingering outside of a hospital for weeks on end, waiting for a baby to be born. Holy balls.

Yeah really. That's a long time. However I can't say I wouldn't like the opportunity to show off my newborn to adoring millions. That's kinda cool. Not worth the other crap though.

I'm also glad she didn't try and stuff herself into some shapewear or whatever to hide the postpartum belly. It was obviously there and she looked lovely. How often do you see that in the media?
