Jeans: I usually spend around $35-$45 at Macy's. With a weirdly long torso and short legs, I'm just glad to find anything that remotely fits and is comfortable. I don't care if a pair did my dishes and gave me sexual favors, I wouldn't EVER spend more than $50 for my jeans.

Shoes: Ugh. I loooooove shoes. Funky shoes, high heels, cute strappy sandals, etc. Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal relationship. I have ridiculously high arches and neuromae in both feet. If I don't wear shoes with unbelievable support, I can't walk without insane pain. I live in my Birkenstocks (3 pairs purchased over the last 10 years) and my custom-fit running shoes (Asics). The running shoes are, by far, my most expensive at $85. I would spend up to $200 if I could find heels that didn't make me want to chop off my own feet at the ankle.

Purses: I always carry one and usually buy cute and functional ones at Marshall's/Kohl's/Ross for no more than $40. Eventually, I'll begin buying better quality ones, but likely won't spend over $200.

I'm a serious cheap-o and won't typically even look at something that isn't marked down substantially.

Jeans- The most I would spend on an awesome pair would be $100

Shoes- $125-$250, but they have to rock and be comfy

Purses- OK, I am a total handbag whore and have spent $1700 on a Burberry before, but most of the bags I buy are about $300. It is my total addiction. I need a seperate closet to hold my collection.

Jeans - my average is $50 but the most I've spent on jeans is $80 (and that was a huge sale)

Shoes - I just got my push present Louboutins that are now my most expensive pair, before those I averaged about $100 for shoes and $300 for boots. Over the years I've realized that anything cheaper doesn't last long and kills my feet.

Purses - I think $100-200 for an every day bag that will last for years is a bargain. Although these days I've downgraded to wristlet that matches the stroller.

Jeans- Probably not more than $50

Shoes- I think the most I spent was about $200 for my tall Uggs that only lasted a year here in Michigan. I pretty much live in cheap flip flops.

Purses- Now purses are my weakness! I have a Louis Vuitton Neverfull that I use as a diaper bag and purse. $750. I had my first Coach purse in middle school. I buy quality purses that I will use for years.

            How much would you spend?

I am a frugal lady! I love Ann Taylor Loft, but only shop the sales.

Jeans- I am 5' and only weigh 100lbs . I used to buy AE Jeans and have a seamstress hem them, but I seriously can't find a seamstress where we moved for clinicals. I LOVE re-sale shops and got 5 pairs of jeans in a short length the other day for $46 total!!!! It was like heaven on earth!

Shoes- I LOVE cute wedges but won't spend more than $60 and that is rare! Usually E-Bay or Charlotte Russe when they have bogo for $15.

Purses- usually in the $20-$50 range. I LOVE Aldo bags, but just buy whatever is cute and cheap.

I will shop anywhere. Goodwill, garage sales, Wal-Mart, Old Navy, Target are my usuals.

              1. Jeans

              2. Shoes

              3. Handbag/Purse

              Let's play for fun!
              1. Jeans - for the past 4 years, I've only been able to wear jeans 1 day/week (between work and church), and even then, I wouldn't necessarily opt to wear jeans. So, I spend $60ish on average. I wouldn't be opposed to spending $100-$150 for a really nice pair that fits well. Fortunately, Express jeans tend to do the trick for less.

              2. Shoes - I don't buy many, but when I do, I really try to focus on comfort, quality, and style. I typically spend around $150, though I did splurge with my bonus one year to buy my Louboutins for $550ish. Luckily I have a friend at Kenneth Cole (my preferred shoe brand) who has told me never to pay full price for them, so I imagine my average will go down.
I bought a pair of shoes from Macy's on sale for $50 a couple months ago for a wedding I was in. I thought they were comfortable in the store, but the first time I wore them, they gave me blisters. Sticking to reputable brands from now on! (Oh yeah, I love Mossimo flip flops, which are typically about $12/pair. I suppose that brings my average down. )

              3. Purses - I buy even fewer of these than shoes and am really particular about quality. I got sick of cheap purses breaking on me within a year. Now I have one that was $125 that I bought 8 years ago, one that was $400ish that I bought 3 years ago and one that was a gift from my Kenneth Cole friend and therefore $0. So, I suppose the average is $175? The amount I would spend varies on the size, material, etc. I typically go for leather designer, typically Coach because the quality (ime) is superb with a slightly lower markup than many designers. Plus it's less ostentatious than many of the others.

Jeans: I don't really wear jeans. If I did find a spectacular pair that gave me the ass of a teenager, I would probably drop up to $150. Can't see that happening though.

Shoes: Generally I spend about $25-50 for dress-type shoes (TJ Maxx!) and for athletic shoes anywhere from $75-125. I just bought a pair of MBTs a few weeks ago for 50% off (holy cracker are they expensive! ) I like them okay, but they haven't helped out my plantar fasciitis, my sole reason for purchase.

Purses: I dislike having to carry one, but I kinda have to. I rarely buy them, I wouldn't go higher than $400-500...and it would have to be marked way down so I felt I was getting a deal. (HAH, a deal! Please) My BFF also likes to keep me in style with kate spade and Coach.

I am prefacing this with I was born and raised in south florida

Jeans $150-200, but I only buy one pair a year.

Shoes- not my thing, usually between $25-150. I definitely wear them till they are dead, but I still live in flip flops day to day.

Purses- this is my vice. $300-$600 I am obsessed with designer bags. I even have that gucci waist pack that carrie wore on sex in the city...yes that was a mistake. Again, I don't buy bags often. Probably every other year, and I compile gift certificiates from birthdays, anniversary, christmas from the year to buy them, then I wear the same bag for a long time. I also have box of them I am saving in my garage, so one day when I hopefully have a daughter she will have this fun box of vintage designer bags to accessorize with. (as an adult of course) Because I just said that, I will never have a tomboy that will have no interest in a 1990's louis vuitton.

They look totally hawt. How do you know what size you need? Is the heel comfortable?

I totally need to retrain my legs/feet to do heels, after almost a year in Uggs/flip flops, it's been painful the last few times I wore my normal shoes.

Julie - have your feet measured. I hate to say it, but sometimes all of the hormones that stretch out your pelvic ligaments do a number on your feet as well. I went up a half a size after Caleb was born.
