WOW, so glad he is safe! DH says were we are at there are many more pedestrians hit than in STL. The city driving speed is average 45 MPH, vs 30 in much of STL. And... people drive like they are on a highway and are TOTALLY annoyed when people turn from store shops onto the road, like they forget that durh it is in city driving.

Did he lecture the ED attending on how to do the screening correctly

There aren't any medical costs but the bike was $1500!

Why should your insurance have to cover it - shouldn't her insurance cover his bike since she hit him?

For the record, I would have been on the phone leaving a whiny, feel-bad-for-me message for DH seconds after I brushed the road dust off my legs. I'm tough, too. I just like the sympathy.

Thank goodness he's ok! That's really scary, and exactly why I refuse to let DH ride his bike to school. He's been hit twice before because the drivers here suck.
