6 more inches of snow last night - total for this winter: 45". Normal is 27". Sigh. We're running out of places to put it.

No school today. Stayed in most of the day, but went for a walk later in the afternoon for fresh air - the sun came out!!!

And here we can get 27" on a good lake effect weekend. You never run out of places to put it! Just stack it higher!

We 'may' get wintery mix tomorrow. and wintery mix in San Antonio is the equivalent to DC's 45 inches.

The entire town shuts down because they don't have sand, they don't have de-icer, they don't have a plow, they got nada.

We're supposed to get another 3-5 inches on top of the 2 we already had from last night. YUCK!

If some of this snow doesn't melt our snow blower is going to be useless. The snow is piled so high on the side of the driveway that the snow blower can't even get it up to the top of the pile.

                I'm so DONE with winter!

Flying Ice. On top of the blizzard that is going on out there, the wind is causing ice to fly from the trees. Its dangerous to even walk the dog. Makes me glad I don't have one at the moment. I am looking out the window and I can't even see the apartment across the street. J made it safely to the main hospital, but after his presentation, he has to go to the hospital where he is on rotation. I am not liking that at all.

Did I mention school was canceled for the whole week?

School was canceled for us today - at 6am (kinda late). However, I wasn't going in anyway because I was on the bathroom floor all night after a bad pannini The dogs LOVE all the snow - it comes up to their underbellies!

Federal government in DC is on its 3rd snow day in a row.

I worked for the federal government for 3 years and never got a snow day, and as soon as I move away...

We had some snow here in Colorado the last couple days. Today it is sunny and COLD.

Chicago? Do we have anyone in Chicago or nearby? They had an earthquake around 4am. My friend said she thought it was a dream. This is one CRAZY winter!

I didn't know about the earthquake until I read about it this morning, but I did wake up with the baby at exactly 4 am . . . so . . . maybe? we were both actually awakened by the earthquake?

So far we got probably close to a foot and a half and it's still coming down. It's absolutely gorgeous outside though.

NYC public schools got a snow day today, only 2nd time in the past 20 years.

I'm too far from Chicago - so I didn't feel the earthquake, but my friends in the city said they didn't feel much, I don't think it was that strong.

I was thinking of those of you in D.C. and the east coast when they said that the weight of the snow (and the rediculous amount) is so heavy they are worried about roofs caving in!

L.Jane are you having cabin fever? It must be rough to be stuck inside all week!
