Well, this also explains the "grace/ballet" connection.
Yeah...the classes I took at OU were actually through the dance department--it was part of their required curriculum. And dang were those ballerinas good at it. I swear, dance has to be the best way to get/stay in shape. It has stuck with some of those instructors for YEARS.

The Cadillac wasn't that bad...it's just that these extremely simple movements look so easy and then when you try to do them you feel like an idiot!

Also check out dance studios! I plan to get a 12 class dance card for a nearby dance academy, and that will be $129 plus a $25 registration fee. A 10-class card at BDC in Manhattan is $150, so I think $10-$15 per class is the norm. I'll be going to a ballet academy, so I'll just take modern and pilates, but other studios may offer more "exercise" classes as well, like aerobics and zumba.

I have heard of Zumba, but never took it. Is it any fun? Worth checking out?

ZUMBA = a good way to burn an outrageous amount of calories while trying to look like you can latin dance. I don't know if it is the adrenaline from knowing I look like a dork trying to keep up with the moves but my heart rate stays up and I can burn quite a bit in that hour.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!
