ST- Sometimes I think you are my Texas doppleganger!!! We have the same exact situation here.

MarissaNicole--what do you have now? Canon has a program that could get you an upgrade for a very nice price. There needs to be something wrong with your current camera (but if it is a few years old it is bound to have a minor focus issue or something). There are some details here:

Also, I wouldn't go with the 7D, but would go with the 60D. It is actually newer technology and still has HD Video--and costs a lot less! I only went with the 7D because I felt I really needed the low light and focusing capabilities for extremely low light portrait situations and weddings.

This thing, which I didn't know they had invented! Cordless lightweight stick vacuum with easily rechargeable battery = no more crumbs all over the hardwoods plus it handles the little area rug nicely. Love it. The other thing I didn't realize they'd invented: rechargeable electric lawn mowers.

Under-cabinet lighting. Transforms the whole kitchen to cozy and homey. (Unlike the single overhead florescent that came with the kitchen in this rental house. Ick!) Since it is a rental, they're not hardwired in or anything, I just screwed them to the underside of the cabinet and plugged them into the wall outlets. Still wonderful and only $10/ea at Ikea.

Laundry on the same floor as the bedrooms. I assume this is possible now because washing machines have gotten quieter and more reliable/less leaky? I won't question it, I'll just appreciate it.
