    Tracking Map

Tropical Storm Irene is now Hurricane Irene. It's hitting Puerto Rico and heading towards Florida. I hope everyone will be safe there.

We will head to my sister's if things look bad here. But I'm not too worried. A lot can happen between now and Thursday.

Florida iMSNers are always welcome to evacuate inland to our house as well.

The invite pretty much includes everyone. I'm just looking for the love.

Ironically, this is the only time in my life I have heard Texans disappointed it didn't head for the Gulf...

                We need rain that bad!

I read about the drought down there and how Houston is sipping water from a lake they haven't used before but it was built for it and the businesses at the lake are going under because of the drought. The season is still young so maybe a few tropical storms and some hurricanes will still head that way.

One of my friends posted to his FB, "Come on, Irene" (which of course got "Come on, Eileen" stuck in my head, as was his evil intention- so I share that now with the rest of you.)

Looks to miss us on the treasure coast. We should have 40-50 mph winds and some rain. I swear if my power goes out I am going to be a Cat 4 before the week is out.

Of course I've been following this avidly (not as exciting as a tornado outbreak, but definitely something that piques my weather interest!) and I'm very surprised at the lack of coverage it is getting in DC, NY, etc.

                          Hellooooo people...!

Where in NC are you? I just watched this video that said with the electromagnetic pulse of the earthquake in the Virginia/DC area that the hurricane will line up with that and hit between Jacksonville, NC and Virginia Beach. So like Greenville or all that area depending on the size of it.

You beat me to it. They're also saying it will hit NC coast.
