Moonlight - hope you are doing alright down there and your power comes back on very soon!
We are also on the back side now and very fortunate that we sustained no serious damage. We have water in a couple spots were walls meet ceilings near windows and our front door. And this really strange spot of water at the bottom of the steps that lead from our ground floor to our main floor. Its against an interior wall that is shared with another unit, we can't figure out where it came from.
There was a lot of wind and rain - 60mph gusts and 7 inches total - and two tornado warnings in an hour for our county, but no confirmed touch downs. We actually got some sleep, although the TWC severe weather notifications on my cell phone kept waking me up every hour. Its still very windy here, but the rain has all but subsided.
Some of our friends in various locations have water in their basements and one couple has a tree on their house (they're alright and not too much damage). I'm hoping to get in touch with my family later this morning and DH will be calling his parents within the half hour. They wound up being about 25 miles from where Irene made second landfall this morning.Event coordinator, wife and therapist to a peds attending

Still here with power minus a bottle of wine. Some large limbs came down but nothing on the house (yet). If the trees can withstand the wind gusts today we should be OK.Luanne

DH's parents are alright, as his grandmother, but no one has power. DH's sister (who has special needs) is freaking out that she can't watch her videos. Unfortunately, DH's uncle who was in at-home hospice in Wilmington, NC during the storm, passed away late last night.
Meenah - I hope that power stays on and those trees stay put, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.Event coordinator, wife and therapist to a peds attending

Thinking of everyone who is going through this right now. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
DH occasionally turns on TWC to watch coverage, and his eyes get pretty big. "What does this mean? Will something like this come here?"
(I can't really say much: tornado season is just around the corner).

Thankfully power is back on as of 5pm Sunday!! We had water all along, but I was in a area w/out power longer than most around here. Our pear tree is leaning way over and the back yard fence fell down. House is fine, we are just a bit shell shocked. Earthquake, Colitis (me, all week), then this witch Irene...Wife to PGY5.
