Can you use ePub on an iPhone? I know you can download the Kindle app.....wasn't sure if there is a Nook app though.
There is a nook app on the iPhone.

I don't know if this was stated already, but I use OverDrive on my iPhone, and it works fine.

Oy, I just had such a fiasco with Overdrive on my iPhone, but that was with an audiobook (wma file), not an e-book.

I've found downloading the audiobooks to be cumbersome. But that may be because I don't read the directions and just do it the way I think it should be done....... and it never works! 8 ) It always takes me 3 times longer than it should. You'd think I'd learn......... 8 )

Oh, I am a champion direction-reader. It's them, not you.

I use the kindle app on my iPad, but my iPad is starting to fail. (SAY IT ISN'T SO!!!!) I'm thinking of getting a kindle for the lending purposes, plus I just got a free prime account for 6 months (student) and I think that offers benefits for kindle owners(?).

I still love to head to the library and browse books, particularly for titles I want to read but not necessarily purchase. I don't know how other areas do it, but our library system is four counties banded together and you can request books or DVDs from any library within the system for free. They also have quite a few audiobooks/ebooks for download, but the selection still isn't that great, plus for the popular stuff you have to wait weeks.

I wish there was a netflix for book streaming or something, your could rent ebooks on amazon. I would purchase a LOT more if I could rent it for a week for a couple bucks.

DH ordered that for me but I won't get it until October 11th. . Then again, as it's my Christmas present, I suppose that's super early...I am so excited about it! Hate delayed gratification!

Most big libraries have a deal with amazon that does this (but free).
