  • Got another 2 inches of snow last night and the forecast for Wed/Thurs is showing the potential for significant snow. Only another 5 weeks to the start of spring and green grass and flowers!

Yes. I'm over winter. I need spring.

        • Today the workers are out shoveling the snow off of sidewalks and cleaning up broken branches and fallen trees. It's sunny outside and it looks to be melting away anyways. When the chainsaws and snowblower motors started roaring this morning I briefly imagined that it was Spring time and people were mowing the green grass on their lawns. I was thinking it's a bit early for the first cut of the season and then I saw there was still snow outside and I came back down to Earth. It feels like a busy, productive Monday morning with all the ongoing noise and activity picking up after a weekend of the sleepy little track town USA hibernating from being snowed in.

          • Our ten-day forecast is showing 40 degree temps next week and then up to 60 on Friday. Finally! I don't care if it's all that warm, just getting above freezing for once will be nice.

                • It was the first morning in a long time where we were above 0 when I took the kids to school.

What?! I'm not that far from you for there to be that big a difference in temps. TOTALLY JEALOUS. ETA: freaking out because our forecast says 51!!!! YES!!!!!!

This morning it was -15, and since I have a cold, yeah. Instant freeze. Awesome. We're supposed to get 4-7" tomorrow. I will be PISSED if we can't go out to dinner tomorrow night! I'm not used to this unremitting cold. Some winters we don't even get snow, and we ALWAYS have warm days in the 50s-60s thrown in. Not this winter. Holy balls, I don't know how you people deal with this every year. I'm going crazy, and getting depressed.

                        • All the snow has melted here and it's supposed to rain until next Tuesday. Freezing February rain that is.

                          • Hello SNOW. Looks like I will be stuck in my apt for AT LEAST the next 48 hours since J is on call (and currently trying to get TO the hospital) and I'm not allowed to lift a shovel.

                            • 6+ inches of snow, and sleet is starting to mix in. No work for me except I will be working from home (sort of). DH is working 12p-10p today and he already drove to work (and got there safely). Big difference so far between this and the other storms is the wind! Be safe everyone.
