We've some amazing first time mums who have the fiercest instincts to protect their own. Lots of stamped front feet with a good huff & puff thrown in!

What's your weather like?
DH just dropped the latest bomb that he wants to sell the current house, move even further away from civilization (which I'm entirely cool with), and raise sheep (which I'm entirely NOT cool with). Don't get me wrong, I'm all for supporting local farms. I just don't want to HAVE one.
This is what our current weather looks like:

The wool isn't great to be honest. My ewes are a cross mountain breed so they're hardy but the wool is coarse. I get about £1.50 a fleece for the carpet trade but they often force reductions on me for my dodgy hand shearing!
Last year I used the fleeces around the bases of trees I planted in the orchard. It's worked well but I'd like to try felting this year. I shear in May do watch this space for photos of badly shawn sheep and felt hats!
