I'm afraid that in a past life I was an axe murderer and that's why I can't get a job interview to save my life. I'm afraid that I'll be stuck in a dead-end job forever. I'm afraid that there is something so wrong with my resume, that it's posted on some "don't hire these losers" bulletin board somewhere in HR land.

I'm also afraid of driving in the snow, but at this point, my lack or job options is debilitating.
I'm just trying to make it out alive!

I'm sorry, CP. have you had anyone look at your resume lately? I know my oldest sister was on the hubby for a very long time, then used my SILs format and got a job soon after that which she loves. I saw the new format and didn't think it was anything extraordinary but didn't see what my sister was doing before
would you consider paying yours on here?

not exactly a phobia but here's mine. any injury. blood, cuts, broken anything. hearing, reading, or seeing it on a screen is like nails on a chalk board. I also hate hospitals and doctors offices. it's so bad u seriously considered not going to see my sister in the hospital when she has her baby. once i was there i felt like odd throw up and have a panic attack at the same time.

mhmm... yep.. still married to a doctor..

I am terrified of driving across a low bridge -- ones that are close to the ocean with no rails. I am afraid I will accidentally drive the car into the water. No idea why but I have a lot of trouble driving on them. (There aren't many; I've only come across them in herb Bay Area and South Padre...)

You couldn't pay me enough to touch other people's cuts/wounds/etc. My kids don't count. I hate when DH tries to show me his scrapes or cuts.

              I also hate public speaking.

LOL I was a basket case at the 1st conference. I expect this conference to be the same level of psychodrama.

Heights. Most of the time I can muscle through it, but anxiety has been high this last year and I started hyperventilating on the Ferris Wheel at Cedar point. My 9 year old was "soothing" me. Also, I had a hard time ziplining and rockclimbing at a mother daughter camp on a ropes course that I have done for over 30 years. The heights thing seems to "heighten" (pun, gag) when my life feels precarious.
In my dreams I run with the Kenyans.

                              Phobias - got any?

Ha WGW, I took Zofran when I went into labor so I wouldn't throw up. I'm over it more now, but I avoided vomiting for years and freaked out whenever my gag reflex was triggered

I don't have any actual phobias, thankfully. Maybe your friends took your snake phobia as more of a fear? I think a lot of people tend to equate the terms.

I do have a fear of heights...I can get close to the edge of something (SAFELY!) but I get a little faint/dizzy looking down. It's not too bad though.

What completely grosses me out to the point of vomiting is stuff like gobs of hair in the tub or sink. When we were recently in FL I thought I must have lost a bit of hair in the tub so stooped to clean it up with a tissue. Great huge gobs of goobery, gelatinous looking hair came out of the drain. Good thing the toilet was right there because I lost my breakfast. Not a fear, per se, but I can't deal.
