    • I've gained fifteen lbs in the last year. At first I thought that my age is just catching up to me but now I'm thinking it might be due to the medication that keeps the acne away. .

      • In an email sent to me, my stepmom and MIL, my mom signed off as the "grandma with the most seniority." Not sure if I should punch her in the face or passive aggressively call her the oldest grandma in the next email (she is the oldest by nearly 4 years). And perhaps in every email thereafter.

Ohhh man...I know that has to be annoying and inappropriate, but I have to say it made me chuckle. Grand parent-hood makes some people do/say crazy things!

          • When MIL gets like this DH says. "You're a grandparent, you have no rights." Better to nip it in the bud now. She has learned that if she' s being controlling, we don't feel like visiting so she keeps it at bay for the most part.

When my three year old walks in, big smile and says, "Hello friends!", I don't need to hear the following from you about how you don't know him and he's not your friend.
You are clearly in grade school, and old enough to know that he's just a small guy. Yes, you aren't friends, but just keep that to yourself.

Well, that's just awesome... Who doesn't check their statements and see crap like this? Because someone in the PNW so often makes purchases from Qatar.

I happened literally minutes before I deposited a small check and that's why I noticed it to quickly. I immediately called and had both of our cards cancelled.

It's weird. Our credit union is usually REALLY great about catching shit like this before we ever see anything. The gal I talked to about it was pretty befuddled, too.

                      • Grrr.

Today I got up at 5, got ready, went to work. Was told I couldn't go to my scheduled class because of staffing. They let the other girl go which meant that there was no one available to give me any kind of a break. So I got off at 3 with no lunch, hungry and annoyed. Come home to listen to my husband's 45 minute diatribe about his night, as per usual. Sit down to meal plan, because on my husband's off evenings he does what he wants, on my off evenings I grocery shop and cook for everyone, run the kid around, clean, etc. Both he and my son sit there and complain about every meal I have on my meal plan for the week. Freaking awesome. Thanks, guys. So our dinner menu this week is featuring raw vegetables from the garden, cooked however they are able to manage on their own. And a side of whatever-you-can-find-in-the-pantry-and-figure-out-how-to-make.

                        • My kids are driving me crazy. K2 didn't sleep last night. He was awake in his room at 11PM when I gave up and went to sleep. I was up again at 2 with Lambie. Then all three kids were in our bed at 6. The kids are exhausted. I'm exhausted. They are whiny and uncooperative and no one will take a nap. I had to beg them to go to the park on the most gorgeous day of the year. Then, the walk home took 35 minutes. We live 5 houses from the park. It was like pushing string. They won't eat. They won't sleep. They won't pick up their toys. They won't leave me alone. Even the baby is pressing her lips together every time I tell her to "say ahhh." DrK won't be home until after they all go to sleep....that is assuming that they all go to sleep.

                              • Spent 2 hours today trying to figure out where the hell the warranty on the certified pre-owned car we bought in October went. If I hadn't badgered our salesperson for some remotely related proof of a warranty back then, I would be out $2k today. They apparently just forgot to add it to our car. I call BS.
