Ugh. I read something recently where a woman was complaining about her "idiot OB" wanting to perform "unnecessary procedures" on her... She was referring to cervical cerclage, and freely admitted that she had a prior pregnancy with incompetent cervix. What an asshole he was for trying to save your baby...Wife of PGY-4 (of 6), cat herder, and mom to a sassy-pants four-nager.

I also hate leaving a full dishwasher, because she puts things away and I can't always find them, but that seemed like the better choice tonight. So frustrated. I don't want to nag, but I really feel like this shouldn't be that hard. I do so many things to keep this house together before I go to bed every night, I don't know why he can't do just a couple of small things.

I read something on the internet where a person insinuated that a male OB, wanting to perform a cervical check on a patient (36 weeks) was clearly just trying to "feel her". And, people were agreeing!
...what is this world coming to?!
That man could be someone's husband, someone's father.

Dear ObGyn wives,
With this kind of hate towards your docs ON TOP of the suck of medicine, you deserve to be on here complaining every.single.day.
That kind of craziness almost renders me speechless. Seriously. Go have your baby in a cave, sweetheart. In my dreams I run with the Kenyans.

Right? I mean, I'd argue sexual jollies are a reason NOT to go into OB. All that gory vag has gotta put a damper on things.
"Wanna see my box, baby?"
"Do you have a foul odor? Discharge? A potato spouting eyes out of it? The ugly twin during childbirth? Tears into the poop chute?"
I mean, c'mon. They must get some kind of vag PTSD.Heidi, PA-S1 - wife to an orthopaedic surgeon, mom to Ryan, 17, and Alexia, 11.

I have a such a hard time looking the other way once someone insinuates inappropriate behavior, unprofessionalism, or lack of intelligence on the part of a physician who is just trying to do his or her job.
It's a hot button issue of mine, and while I'm not yelling and screaming my point, I do feel personally affronted by such garbage.
It could happen to anyone, these accusations, and that makes me ill.

Unfortunately with the advent of social media the opinions of the galactically stupid spread like wildfire and then these insinuations fester and tarnish the reputation of good docs.Tara
