I secretly enjoy when E is sick because we get to stay home and play and cuddle all day.

I should be working on stuff but I've been reading old threads in the Retail section instead.

This is how I know I'm a) a fantastic wife and b) seriously in love with my husband: I made him a chocolate chess pie to contribute to a potluck on the wards today and I have zero chance of getting any. I don't make chocolate chess pies for just any reason and I certainly never make them when I don't get to partake as well. I told him this is how he knows I reeeeally love him. Chocolate chess pies are grounds for fighting in our family. They are serious, serious business (no really, there have been arguments at Thanksgiving regarding slice size and the pie running out before someone got a piece. We love food, what can I say?).

This week I acted a bit impulsively and placed about $250 of orders for hobby-related stuff. I thought I'd have a few weeks to pay for half of it but it's all coming due, like, now. Oops.

I noticed that my brother has joined several Facebook groups for introverts. I find this ironic.

I told my friend that her kids could have a playdate at my house because her babysitter flaked. Now I'm annoyed because I feel compelled to pay better attention to the kids when they have friends over then when its just my kids. I had some crap I wanted to get done this morning! Now I have to pick between reading during quiet time or getting this crap done. Ergh!

I'm a jerk because a grade school kid was somewhat rude to DS, and my first thought was "What a douchey kid!"

Not a jerk at all! That would have been my thought, too.

Whoa, boy. I have had some incredibly uncharitable thoughts about children at my son's school. We had some big issues with bullies, physical and emotional, last year. I am much worse than a jerk!
