As a child, I pretended we lived in the back country of Australia. Lots of air conditioning, sprinkler time, and pool access made it better.
Indian Summer happens a lot there.

I've been spending way too much time watching/reading about Big Brother this summer (a show on CBS, for those who aren't similarly obsessed). In addition to watching the show 3x per week, I've started reading the online BB forums and listening to a BB podcast. I'm addicted!!

They tried to tell DH today that he needed an RN (he already has 2 MAs), and that they were checking references on people they had already interviewed (!)

DH: "Um, no. I want to know who these candidates are and meet/interview them alongside you."

I just added one of the other daycare moms on facebook after I saw her tagged in an event we were both at last night. I hope she doesn't think I'm crazy. We talk every time we see each other picking up our kids, and we chatted briefly last night.
