I've had 2 cars in the last 16 years, so I expect to drive this one for a while too. Pretty much I'm leaning toward the Odyssey, but I might check out the Sienna too. We may go look on Monday after we drop the kids off at school.

My MIL's is a 2011 and has 150k miles. It is just starting to have some AC issues (but c'mon, she lives in Houston) and has never had another real issue.

I still need to find a time to drive one, but as long as I don't hate it and I can fit it in my garage, it's going to happen. I NEED sliding doors. I'm so over walking around my car 3 times each time we go somewhere to open doors, get kids in the car, and try not to hit other cars or obstacles in the way as I'm buckling in uncooperative children.

So, the question is - which color? I really like the Pacific Pewter Metallic exterior and the gray interior, but you can't get those together. So do I go with the exterior that I like with the mocha interior, or the Modern Steel Metallic exterior which I still like too, just not as much, so I can get the gray interior?

Honestly, I can barely tell the difference between the interiors. I'd just pick what exterior you like the best.

Funny side note--everybody and their mother has the Steel metallic exterior here, including me. It's crazy. We joke we are the minivan mafia and that it would be the best car to commit a crime in because no one would ever expect it and there are so many of us you are practically incognito.

So many gray minivans! I love our red one because it's a little different.

            Are you getting a 2019?

I feel like I mostly see white and silver, but the gray is definitely super popular too. I feel like the Pacific Pewter is a little different, which is what I like about it.

Yes, we've been looking at the 2019s. I haven't seen a lot of 2018s in stock, and I'm not sure they're selling them for much cheaper.

Same here, and this has led to me trying to get into the wrong van in the parking lot on *several* occasions and wondering why the door isn’t opening. 😂 And also one time thinking my van was being stolen. I had parked in a little hidden cul-de-sac spot near the school that only had room for about two cars, and as we returned to it I was alarmed for a second to see “my” van pull out of the opening. And my first thought wasn’t “car thief!” it was “oh no, that mom accidentally picked up the wrong car!” 😂😂 It was during my much more sleep-deprived days. I did at least figure things out before I raised my arm to flag her down.

What's funny though is I haven't seen a single other van at the preschool. I'm guessing because I'm on the older side there, having a both a 4.5yo and a 2.5yo, with several moms of just one infant there, and you don't realize how amazing they are until your kids get older, especially when there are two of them?

It also depends on your area I think. At soccer camp drop off this week, the lot was full of Range Rovers, BMW SUVs, and a couple of Tesla’s. I guess we’ve arrived...[JK]

We aren’t car people. I will continue to happily drive my 2011 minivan and then buy another used one.

I'd bet you would see more at a non-full time school. I feel like less working moms I knew drove minivans, probably because they didn't have to cart the kids around in them all day.

The preschool is in the city, which isn't necessarily the nicest part of town, but it's mostly working moms, I think, and probably some that live closer in and can pay for a pricier preschool. I mostly see higher end SUVs.
