Dh wore the moby once but felt it was too girly. He did wear O in the ergo a lot though.

Real babywearing question: I picked up a pouch style sling (by Sweet Fletcher) brand new at a consignment sale. It's like this one, but in black toile:

However...I can figure out if it fits me. There is no size on it, but it seems small. However, the belly does change things and I cant figure out if it would work with an actual baby in it. Anybody know how these are supposed to fit?Married to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.

The bottom of the pouch/babies butt should be about bellybutton level when worn. Most people buy too big. So if you think it's small it's probably just right. I think a pouch is the hardest to size before the baby is born and when mom is still carrying extra baby weight.
My favorite pouch tip/trick....the shoulder flip.Mom of 3, Veterinarian

Link to shoulder flip example. You can also see how the child's bottom is around the level of the wearer's belly button.Mom of 3, Veterinarian

Ha...I actually thought I had deleted that message last night! As soon as I posted, I found where it said "Extra Small" on the tag...I'm not an extra small. So I *thought* I deleted and I'm sending it to Jen! Thanks for the sizing info, though--I might try and score another.Married to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.

My new carrier is being shipped soon!!!
Agh! I'm so freakin' excited!!!!!
I'm wearing Phedre about 4 hours a day...maybe more. She takes most naps in the carrier and she's worn during shopping and when walking the boys in and out of preschool from the car. She even "helped" me with the pruning and yard work the other day.Mom of 3, Veterinarian

That's adorable Michele!
So in terms of carriers, I have a SevenSling, a K'tan, and we're registered for an Ergo. I also have a variety of African Kanga fabrics and I have babyworn using those while we were in Kenya. Any glaring holes in the babywearing repertoire? I'm sure I'll need help once baby arrives but I think I'm well positioned in terms of gear since it's basically the only thing I've purchased so far.Married to a Urology Attending!
