I'm not going to be pregnant on Labor Day. We discussed it with my OB today, and I'll be induced next Monday if spontaneous labor doesn't happen by then. It's not a gigantic baby (she doesn't think), but I've got a little frame! I think what it all boils down to is that she feels a little sorry for me, and doesn't want me to necessarily have to carry the baby for longer than I have to - I'm done, and baby is done.

Yeah! You're almost there!! I remember feeling like time goes by soooo slowly at this point, but before you know it you will get to meet your little one. How exciting.

Oh, and please update us (when you get a chance) on how the whole "helping" plan is working out. We have started having those conversations with our parents and they aren't fun.

                            Thanks, everyone!

Boy, am I nervous. I have the option of going to the hospital (if I go the induction route) either Monday night or Tuesday morning. Dh says I should go on Tuesday morning, but I just know I'm not going to be able to sleep the night before if we do it that way. Of course, there's no guarantee if I go on Monday night that I'll sleep on Sunday night either.

I don't know if I'll make it all the way to Monday/Tuesday. I haven't had any contractions that I'm aware of (Braxton Hicks or otherwise). This is going to sound ridiculous, but it feels like there's so much pressure down there that the baby's just going to fall out.

Try walking along a curb with one foot up on the curb and one foot down on the road. If baby wants to be way down deep and stimulate those cervical proprioceptors, help him!

If you do go in for medical induction, recent studies show you're less likely to wind up in surgery if you and your providers can just try to be patient, and even be willing to consider coming back home to wait it out: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/articl...BA32199QM0.DTL

Hang in there, you'll have a babe soon! Remember that no matter how small you are or how big your babe, the human pelvis is a wonderful thing. 4'10" women have birthed 10 pound babies without tearing, no joke. Just let gravity do its thing and wiggle that kiddo out like a corkscrew.

Um, is that true about the 4'10'' woman? Not to hijack but it's a concern of mine (I'm 4'11 and DF is 6'8'') - I figured I'm in for a c section.
