    Oh, good, it's visible, now?

The bowl is from Jim Wright, at stonekettle: https://www.etsy.com/shop/Stonekettle

His products kinda go in waves; he hasn't had bowls in a while, but they do come up occasionally. Currently, it's mostly zils (so if there's anyone here who wants nice wooden finger cymbals, it's worth checking out). I follow him on facebook at least partially to know what's coming up in his shop when, and to see pictures of his shop cat (the one who's stylized in the yarn holder on the bowl).

      • I never have issues seeing photos on my laptop, so I don't know if it's visible to everyone. I stalked you on Rav to see what the yarn is, but you don't have a project page for this one! Looks like sock yarn of some sort?

Ah. Hopefully it's visible on mobile, too; someone let me know if it's not!

Yeah, I'm WAY behind on Rav. I do intend to eventually catch up there. The variegated yarn is Alexandra's Crafts Black Butte yarn, colorway is sea anemone. I bought it to make a gift for my friend Alexandra out of (and ended up only needing half of what I bought, hence the second scarf. ) They're based in Silverton Oregon, and I picked it up in a yarn shop in Portland. The grey I bought to go with it once I decided on a two-color project for the gift, it's Anzula Haiku, colorway Elephant. Brioche is awesome once you get your head around it. Such a soft, gooshy stitch. I'm tempted to make a blanket (don't ask me why I love making blankets, I just do). Only thing is, I know how much of a bitch keeping a two-color cast-on straight is - that scarf is about as wide as I'd want to cast on with two colors without a lifeline, so I'd have to learn how to do that. The book I learned from (knitting fresh brioche) has a section on it, I'd just have to practice it a bit. Maybe when I finish the scarf.

            • I've done a brioche scarf before, but I'm going to have to look into two-color brioche!

                        • Made this maternity dress for my baby shower. Apparently it doesn't go with the color scheme so I need to go find something else to wear or make. I love it though! Came out better than i thought!
